The number of people who visit Facebook has been leveling off over the past few months in the U.S., and even dipped by about 800,000 individuals in January. According to the latest stats from comScore, Facebook attracted 33.9 million unique visitors in January, 2008, down 2 percent from 34.7 million in December, 2007. Check out that baby cd/dvd !

April 28, 2008

Children are some of the toughest critics. So I called on three of my most challenging classes Pre-k and K classes (children ages 4 and 5) to listen to THAT BABY CD/DVD and I watched their response every carefully.Last week I used the CD THAT BABY in the background with one Pre-k class. The music got the attention of one boy right away. He all of sudden annouced, "I like this music". I noticed a little more relaxed feel to class as the did various individual activites with the music in the background. This week I decided to use the DVD with one grade K class. As the children were looking for books in the library they watched the DVD version of THAT BABY. The video version immediately grabbed the attention of the group. I think one main reason for this is the fact the children appear in the video doing things that children like. I heard lots of ooo's and ahh's as the first track Happiness Runs/Circle Game played. There was more excitement when two puppets appeared to sing track 3 When We Grow Up. We just finished making large brown paper bag puppets. The same day I decided to use THAT BABY DVD with a Pre-k group. I took out special mats and was going to allow the group to rest as the DVD played. The minute the first song came on the group started identifying themselves with the children in the video. They started calling out their name everytime they say a child that looked like themselves or was doing something like them. I saw some ponies during the fourth track Pony Boy. At the end of the video I was looking at pretend microphones, guitars and lots of dancers getting a little crazy. They did not identify one song that they liked best. When asked, the answer was, "I liked it all."Personally, I enjoy Track 3 When I Grow Up and Track 4 Pony Boy and Track 12 I Will. This is a unique find that offers a few different songs for children. Written Goals Are The Key To Personal Success

April 28, 2008

The key to success in all areas of life is to write specific goals. By not working toward specific written goals that are both inspiring and well considered you are either allowing your life to be determined by chance or by other people's agendas. The mind does not differentiate between real or imagined experiences so the use of imagination helps manifest your goals. Written goals and visualization are powerful life tools.
